Helene Meyers

is a native New Yorker. She professed in Texas for over 30 years (at Southwestern University, where she is Professor Emerita of English and held the McManis University Chair). When she’s not writing and speaking about American Jewish film, literature, and culture, she’s helping humanities types find career pathways that feed body and soul. Teaching her nationally recognized course “Novel English Majors” and mentoring undergraduates led to her passion for career coaching. Her new book is Movie-Made Jews: An American Tradition.
